![]() Mechanics: The action functions correctly. Overall this combination gun rates in Very Good-Fine overall condition. The screwheads range from sharp to tool marked with strong slots. There is no major damage, it is all superficial and can be attributed to past use. There is a spot of wear on the left of the barrel assembly at the breech-end. There is minor wear around where the scope is attached. The barrels have only a few minor nicks and scratches. Overall Condition: The combination gun retains about 95% of its original finish. Type of Finish: Black Painted Receiver, Blued Barrelsīore Condition: The bores are bright. The stocks rate in about Very Good overall condition. The LOP measures 14 1/4” from the trigger to the end of the buttpad, 13 ¼”. The stocks show signs of past handling with some scattered small scratches, and a few patches of the finish have worn off, notably on the left side of the forearm. The butt features a buttpad which is ventillated. ![]() The pistol grip has a black plastic checkered cap. Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two piece press checkered wood with a pistol grip and monte carlo. The scope shows only light handling marks in its black finish with clear glass and is in about Fine-Excellent condition. ![]() There is a one piece Weaver style mount screwed to the barrel at the rear with rings holding a Bushnell® Elite Limited Edition, 3-9x50mm with a duplex reticle, which functions properly. The rear sight is a folding “U”-notch with white triangle aiming reference that is adjustable for elevation and dovetailed into the barrel. Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a blade integral to a serrated, ramped base screwed to the front of the barrel. The barrel lug assembly has inspection marks and a “U” date code. The right side of the hammer features an arrow pointing up and one pointing down, indicating barrel selection. The right side of the receiver features an engraving of a bird in some brush and “SAVAGE 24V”. The right side of the bottom barrel is marked “-SAVAGE ARMS-/ WESTFIELD, MASS. ![]() CALIFORNIA U.S.A.” and features a stylized texturing.
